Questions about this release:

1. How do I upgrade from 1.0.0?

To be perfectly honest, if you are happy with 1.0.0 and it does everything that you need it to, there is no need to upgrade. Unless there are features in the changelog above that you need. There is no actual 'upgrade' procedure. If you want to use 1.0.2, you will have to do a fresh install.

2. What makes this different from the last release?

Other than the above mentioned additions in the changelog, the main difference between 1.0.2 and 1.0.0 is community feedback. Without that, I would not have been able to make 1.0.2 so much better. Thank you to all those that gave feedback, thanks to you, this is a better release.

3. Why release so soon after the first version?

It's an opportunity for the developer to listen to the community, and incorporate the best suggestions from that pool of feedback and enhance upon the first release. The first version had a small group of people (a few dozen) providing input and ideas. With a public release, we have a pool of potentially 1000's of people from which feedback can come from. This can only strengthen future releases.

4. Whats on the horizon for future Linux Lite releases?

Very basically, a Games entry in the Menu with a selection of linux games, and anything else that comes in from the community that fits the goals of this operating system. The future remains open and full of possibilities whilst remaining true to the core goals of Linux Lite - simplicity, performance and freedom.

Thank you to all those of you who have tried Linux Lite. We remain focused on our goal as a community to show existing Windows users that a linux based operating system is more than capable of doing those everyday computing tasks quickly and easily such as internet, email, social chat, photos and games.

Runs fine here in a Virtualbox. No problem with login at my end.
